TOTAL ASCENT: approx 10,000 (not that much over 300km!)

TRIP DURATION TOTAL 12
ON TRAIL TOTAL: 10
ACCOMMODATION ON TRAIL: Accommodation is in a variety of B&Bs, guest-houses and country inns/hotels, pending availability when tour is booked. Rooms will be twin share and en-suite wherever available or otherwise with adequate bathroom facilities. Breakfasts included in accommodation, basic packed lunches provided each day. Evening meals will be taken together, but are at own cost, usually at nearby pubs or at the overnight accommodation where offered. Due to staying in small villages with limited group stay capacity, sometimes guest accommodation is in several different B&Bs in a village, meaning the group has dinner together but on occasion be located in separate accommodation.
HIGHLIGHTS: The Lakes District, Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, pubs and ales. And artisan gins. And scones and jam. And tea.

TEETOTALLER? No worries! Whilst it is a pub to pub run, its not all about drinking! In fact, our very first runner on our first tour (who has since been on every tour and is coming again) is a non drinker. So in place of the first pint offered after each day’s running, you get a pint of…soft drink, juice, or even a cuppa! We are in England after all.
OH YOU DO DRINK? Well, it’s not about getting drunk. But it is about Real English Ale, which means not that freezing sparkly stuff you might be used to. No, this is REAL ENGLISH ALE, which like wine is all about regional flavours and artistry of the brew. And has a whole culture behind it. So that’s what we drink. Okay, so for those competitive ones… 75 pints across the tour is the standing record (Adam Needham, 2022 ). With a few artisan gins thrown in there…
